Genevieve Solomons

Co-Managing Director

Every person has a right to be fed, to be educated and to live with dignity.

ABOUT Genevieve

Johannesburg born Genevieve Solomons grew up in a traditional Jewish home which embraced a powerful family bond and strong compassion for others. Educated at King David Linksfield, Gen always wanted to run events - so after studying Public Relations (PR) she started her own events company with her best friend Romi.

However the need for wanting to give back to those less fortunate than herself still resonated strongly - and when the right opportunity arrived - with an open heart and open hands they teamed up with FEED SA and the rest is history. Gen is also mother of one little boy.

AREAS WE WORK IN:

  • Community Development

  • Elderly

  • Food Security

  • Health

Feed SA is an NGO that sets up feeding schemes and community development projects in vulnerable communities around South Africa.

Their beneficiaries include creches, after school programs, early childhood development centres, homes for the mentally and physically challenged, hospices, as well as support for bedridden and
elderly citizens.

Over the years, FEED SA has also been involved in numerous refurbishment projects, upgrading classrooms, kitchens, ablutions and recreational areas.

Through their training programs, they commit to setting up their beneficiaries to succeed - to thrive and be self-sustaining. They educate teachers on childcare, nutrition and proper stimulation, all the building blocks for mental and physical wellbeing.

THEIR GOAL is to feed not only TUMMIES, but also the HEARTS and MINDS of our beneficiaries.
