MODULE 2: STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT – PROJECT DESIGN, IMPLEMENTATION & MONITORING

- Situation analysis: When is it useful?
- What participatory project design methods can you use to:
- Engage your stakeholders in project design (theory of change, logframe)
- Involve your stakeholders in project monitoring (citizen, community based monitoring, focus group, panels)
- EXERCISE: Design a process for engaging your stakeholders in situation analysis
MODULE 3: STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIPS – LEARNING & REPORTING
Tue 15 March 2022 | 10am – 12pm
- When to engage stakeholders with data for decision making (sense-making, lessons learned and recommendations)
- Speaking to your audience (policymakers, community members, donors) using different tools (data visualisation, policy briefs, community dialogues)
- EXERCISE: Using the stakeholder analysis matrix (from Module 1) for a communication plan
- What would the different stakeholders like to know about the success of the project
- What is the best way to communicate to them.
About the Facilitator
Dena Lomofsky is an experienced trainer and program designer. She has assisted many organisations with developing their stakeholder engagement and communication plans. She is the Founder of Southern Hemisphere and has played a key role in the development of Southern Hemisphere’s training courses. Dena is the annual guest lecturer on Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation for the MA Programme in Development Studies, Department of Sociology, University of Cape Town, and a trainer for On Think Tanks. For HIIT 2021, she developed and ran the Theory of Change (ToC) workshop, which received excellent feedback.
Dena recently completed training for South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association online professional development workshops.
