COME TOGETHER FOR MITZVAH DAY, SUNDAY 21 NOV

Each year, in November, over 40,000 people around the world, come together to give our time, not our money, to make a difference to the community around us. Mitzvah Day introduces people to social action –  setting up projects, which address real needs.

Since 2018 Mensch has been The UK’S Mitzvah Day Partner in Southern Africa and in 3 years has developed 54 Mitzvah Day Projects and built new and lasting connections between Beneficiary Partners (NPOs, social projects, shelters, those with less) and Volunteer Partners (Schools, shuls,  corporates, friendship groups, families), that continue beyond the November Mitzvah Day Event.

MITZVAH PROJECTS YOU CAN CREATE

Social action projects make a vital difference to the world around us and can include a wide variety of activities.

You can create: Art and crafts Projects such as making picture cards or wall charts for less-resourced ECD centres | Collection Projects such as food collections, clothing collections |  Appreciation Projects such as writing letters to hospital workers | Cooking Pprojects to make food for eding schemes. |  Friendship projects such as walking dogs at a shelter | Care projects such as making and distributing essential supplies, or connecting with the elderly. WHY GET INVOLVED

Mitzvah Day allows everyone of all ages, backgrounds and faiths to get involved in
hands-on social action projects that don’t involve money (Tzedaka) and are guided by
the Jewish values of Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World), Gemilut Chasadim (Acts of
Kindness) and Tzedek (Justice).
