ABOUT Melanie
Melanie is a BA LLB graduate of UCT and completed her articles at Abe Swersky & Associates in 1999. She is an admitted attorney in South Africa (2000) and in England & Wales (2002). In 2000, Melanie moved to the UK where she held several positions in the competitive world of investment banking in London.
On return to Cape Town Melanie joined Investec Private Bank she worked for 10 years and held positions in the lending and investments divisions. She resigned from Investec in 2012 to establish Levy Simon Attorneys Notaries & Conveyancers with Tina Simon.
Melanie juggles her busy work schedule by making time to put her energy into the essential work of The Angel Network (Western Cape), where she is actively involved as one of the four Cape Town Angels.

The Angel Network is an organization run solely via the power of social media. The goal is to create a gateway for giving. A platform from which helping where help is needed, is easily accessible to anyone wanting to do a little more - and give a little more. The network, facilitates and mobilises acts of kindness.
TAN is a registered Non-Profit Organisation (NPO: 181-947) and Public Benefits Organisation (PBO) and can issue Section 18-A tax deductible receipts for any donations paid to The Angel Network.

The Angel Network is not affiliated to any one charity, but rather offers assistance to established welfare organisations, whenever and wherever help is needed.
We provide a portal to offer help wherever help is needed, by giving a hand UP, rather than a handout.
